We discovered Fell Ponies in 2006 in an english horse magazine and decided to go on the hunt for a Fell Mare. We always had Ponies and at that time we were living on the spanish coast. Once we were on the move to our own Ridingschool/Livery Yard which we purchased in Germany 2007, we found our first Fell mare.
While we were browsing trought the english web we also found two Stallions for sale that we liked a lot. So instead of just one mare ,we got two stallions and one mare :-)
We had never seen a Fell in real life, we did buy the three over the internet from very generous people. We got in touch with a very good horsetransport and they organized the trip for the three ponies to germany.
They arrived in the middle of the night in a massive truck. Once the doors were open we had a look at our new ponies. First impression: OMG they are huge :-) (We were just used to little spanish ponies)
All three arrived healthy and safely in our yard, got into their new stables and just put their head down and ate!? Very quite and well behaved ;-)
Over the next couple of weeks we started breaking them (All green) and again there was no problem at all!
After the third time sitting on the stallions we decided to go for a walk in the nearby forest! We left walking and came back riding bareback :-)
On the 22.02.2009 our first Fell Foal was born. Conkertree Infinity. A little filly. It was so exciting! She is still with us and you can have a look at how she developed over the last two years.
